If pelvic view at VH is less than desired, try asking fror as steep trenelenberg as the anesthesiologist or anesthetist feels patient can safely tolerate. Then place a wet lap to displace the bowels (can even use a heavy silk suture to the end of the lap loop tag to further tag the lap into the vaginal canal, providing reassurance it won't get lost secondary to cephalad displacement) and then use a cysoscope to view the pelvis. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
