Re: Fibroids/endometriosis/adenomyosisFrom: QUINNOBGYN@aol.comSat Apr 9 02:05:45 2005
Dan: I am impressed by the enthusiasm for surgical options for this woman - and I note your comments about the route of surgery. If endometriosis, adenomyosis and fibroids are caused by denervation-reinnervation of the uterus, then it may be possible to enquire into her reproductive history (childbirth) and bowel habit (constipation) to establish what has happened to this woman, explain it to her, offer some corrective advice, treat her vasomotor symptoms, and, watch her pass through her menopause - intact ? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
