I would manage by doing 1. NO digital vaginal exams, 2. Ampicillin 3. Steroids 4. Observation IN HOSPITAL until: A. Reaches 37 weeks or B. Shows signs of infection. My observation in addition to Temperature recording would include a daily 10 min FHR strip for BASELINE FHR. The baseline FHR will increase prior to most other signs of infection. Would also daily palpate for tenderness. Labor in a patient with ROM may well be a sign of infection and hence an indication for delivery. Dan

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
