Re: GlyburideFrom: Richard Meisel (rmeisel@mac.com)Thu Mar 24 15:42:52 2005
Steve, I checked the most recent ADA Clinical Practice Recommendations and the Position Statement on Gestational Diabetes in addition to the Paper on Tests for Glycemia. I can't find any recommendation for 1 hr testing. There are values noted for fasting, 1 hr, or 2 hr that would warrant the start of insulin. The only section that address monitoring says; FYI on the Glyburide issue ADA says: DIABETES CARE, VOLUME 27, SUPPLEMENT 1, JANUARY 2004 S89 On Mar 24, 2005, at 12:31 AM, Steve & Eryl Raymond wrote:

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
