Re: labor tubFrom: Joseph Shaeffer (Jescnm@icehouse.net)Fri Feb 25 17:28:24 2005
Charlie, There is a group called Waterbirth International, the director is Barbara Harper who has published quite a bit of data and works with hospitals to promote waterbirth. She will probably have the information and studies you need. She can be reached at barbara@waterbirth.org , she was very helpful and sent us some information when we were looking at these same questions for using jacuzzi's in labor. Hope this helps, I saw that you had advertised for a Nurse Midwife for your practice, any luck in finding someone as yet? Joseph

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
