What I hear from Art --- is that a NORMAL US does NOT mean that there are NO birth defects. It doesn't mean that threre aren't certain defects can be ruled in or out close to the 100% mark --- but that even if everything that can be done as "screening" (without other suspicions justifying the test) there WILL still be birth defects not diagnosible before birth -- and some that will be diagnosed later in life than birth. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
