Axillary Pheromones - WowFrom: RModugno@aol.comSat Jan 29 10:43:19 2005
Very Interesting! Pheromone-spiked perfume boosts menopausal romance Source: The Journal of Sex Research 2005; 41: 372 Evaluating the impact of adding a sex attractant pheromone isolated from a young woman to the perfume of postmenopausal women. US research findings indicate that a sex attractant pheromone released by young women could be employed to enhance the romantic lives of postmenopausal women. In a double-blinded study, Joan Friebely (Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts) and Susan Rako (Newton, Massachusetts) added Athena Pheromone 10:13âoriginally isolated from the armpit sweat of a young womanâto the perfume of 22 postmenopausal women, while adding a dummy compound to the perfume of another 22. The women were asked to keep a diary of their romantic encounters over the next 6 weeks. Analysis of these diaries showed that 41 percent of the women given the pheromone reported an increase in petting, kissing, and affection with their partners, compared with just 14 percent of those receiving the dummy chemical. Likewise, an increase in one or more of four "intimate socio-sexual behaviors," such as formal dates or sex, was reported by 68 percent of the pheromone users, compared with 41 percent of the controls. Despite these exciting findings, the identity of the chemical will remain a mystery until the woman who discovered it, Winnifred Cutler, has had patents granted to her Women's Wellness Research Center in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. ****************************************************************************** *=20 Robert Modugno MD MBA FACOG Marietta,GA http://www.novaobgyn.com
