agree Ronald E. Ainsworth -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Brian Fox Sent: Wednesday, January 19, 2005 7:37 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: OB-GYN-L digest 3595 Since your group is the only OB group in town, and presumably at this hospital, they are already doing the QA and evaluation function for themselves and any others with OB privileges. Are there individuals on the MEC who would have a business interest in not having you do deliveries? If the MEC persists in their reasoning, they are making a defacto statement that your group is corrupt in some way. Do they have some reason to feel your partners would be unable to be objective about your skills and judgment? Their objection sounds politically based, not patient care based. Brian W. Fox, MD, FACOG Ruby Mountain OBGYN 1995 Errecart Blvd. Suite 103 Elko, NV 89801-8336

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
