Re: Central MonitoringFrom: Seele, Mona (Mseele@tmh.tmc.edu)Wed Jan 19 11:42:08 2005
I think they have to be aware and have input, unless you decide to take the system "out of the box" or how it comes from GE. It is not terrible, but there are several issues for compliance with JCAHO, etc. that are not covered at this time. However, GE is working on a newer version and will probably cover the current issues with these revisions...but since the rules are constantly changing you are then tied to finding some other way to comply - paper or re-configuration by IT. There are 4 hospitals in our system and we made configuration changes for all at the same time. GE will make changes for you, but it is very expensive. -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net]On Behalf Of evsono@pipeline.com Sent: Wednesday, January 19, 2005 12:28 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: Central Monitoring so it pays to involve IT folk in the process before you buy. art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
