My answer would be, because the nurse wanted to hang antibiotics and no amount of discussion about CDC or ACOG or even showing her the Northside protocols for Beta strep would convince her that antibiotics were unnecessary. (Everyone else gives them!) When I refused, she called my back-up OB who agreed to give them, to make her happy. Do I sound like I'm ranting. I am.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
