I have likewise seen it done and done it, though it depends on how dense the epidural is. Keep knees and hips both at 90 degrees and have one nurse on either side to stabilize the hips. Be careful if mom is on a labor bed with the bottom removed. Make sure her knees don't slip off the end of the bed.
