One of the issues is interruption of the nauseas and emesis. Give an iv load of 8mg Zofran and then continue 1mg/hr. This a chemotherapeutic regimen which is highly effective. I have used it in recalcitrant hyperemesis with good success. Sorrry, no randomized, prospective double blind studies! Let me know how it functions in this patients. Thanks. Give Cleve Pardue my regards! Bob

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
