Re: bushismFrom: Richard Chudacoff, MD (rchudacoff@mylinuxisp.com)Wed Nov 10 20:25:13 2004
Well I could be wrong, but the country seems to be headed for a conservative, fundamentalism based, Christian dominated government from head to toe. These people have only one view, and it ain't tolerance for anything that is not based in their bible, their church or their ideals. (So much for 'The Land of the Free'. Kind of reminds one of Iran and Saudi Arabia.) For a group that goes around saying "WWJD", they certainly show less tolerance that Jesus himself is portrayed. I'm afraid that the outlook, based on the poor Kerry showing, and the lack of any party that stands for fiscal conservatism and social liberalism having any chance of dominating the national elections for years to come, is poor. I don't see a place for moderates in the Bush government, and if that is the case, eventually we will see an increase in unwanted pregnancies for the lack of wanted, effective birth control. Combined with what seems an inevitable reversal of Roe v. Wade, the poor, the desperate and the unfortunate will have few safe options, while those more fortunate will be able to go 'to the country' for a little rest. I wonder though, even if surgical abortion is made illegal, what will happen to Mifepristone?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
