Re: NYTimes.com Article: Commentary: Defining a Doctor, With a Tear, a Shrug and a ScheduleFrom: Dr Eberhard W Lisse (el@ac.lisse.NA)Mon Nov 8 20:55:42 2004
Robert, this is not a scientific study but an editorial. Akin to a novel. Though, I personally don't see what is inherently good about working 80 (or 100) hours a week. And for for next to nothing, nogal. And, since many countries are trying to reduce workload for young doctors in the face of enourmous cost I think if you compared the outcomes you'd be surprised. el -- Dr. Eberhard W. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
