Given her age, I would recommend D+C and repeat ECC. If capable, I'd also recommend Dx H/S in case of subtle lesion at cornua.

Heh y'all,

50 y.o. presents for a routine exam. Pap (thin prep) and endocervical brush performed. Report returns with "atypical glandular cells, favor endometrial". Subsequent EMB reveals "no atypia, hyperplasia, or tumor identified". It was a good specimen. Negative ECC.

I am inclined to repeat studies in 6 months, sooner for any unusual bleeding. Would anybody recommend formal D&C?

Lynn

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
