Yes, we have given steroids. Operated on her first thing in the morning yesterday. Small bowel was found to obstructed by a band, about 15 cms from the ileo-caecal junction. About 5 cms of the small bowel (near the site of obstruction) was gangrenous and had two perforations. Resection anastomosis. Operation was okay. She is on Ritodrine 50micrograms/min. Planning to keep her on Ritodrine for 24 hours.

She is very ill.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
