You could check the arhives on this topic (obgyn.net - "Pulmonary endometriosis" -- 7/22/01), but that info is already outdated. Try using "Thoracic" "Endometriosis" (+/- "Syndrome") in your pubmed search. The 10/04 review from Zurich (Korom) points out the need for diaphragmatic eval in thorascopic (+/- laparoscopic) mgmt. The Mayo article (Johnson, 6/04) reviews clinical presentations, diagnostice eval, and Rx options (DMPA/Lupron/Pleurodesis). tj

Hello. I have an interesting inquiry....please help.......

There is limited information on catamenial hemoptysis and pneumothorax medical managment and treatment. I am intereted in learning more about treatment options for women afflicted with this type of endometriosis.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
