The anatomy will change as the pregnancy progresses, hopefully she will not require a c-section because obviously there is a small chance of bowel being stuck to the anterioir uterine surface. I would let her have as much folate as she can handle gastric bypass is basically iotrogenic malnutrition/malabsorption.
