Re: OB: Polyhydramnios caseFrom: RModugno@aol.comWed Aug 11 07:03:45 2004
In a message dated 8/10/2004 9:44:19 PM Eastern Standard Time, garrys@mindspring.com writes: thought about therapeutic amnio but felt that a bit extreme. Why do think this is extreme? It is safe - you can control the amount of fluid removed and rate of fluid removed, keep the "forewaters" intact, avoid prolapsed cord, and minimize the chance of abruption. Seems less extreme than sticking a pudendal block needle through the vagina up into the great beyond. ;+) Robert Modugno MD MBA FACOG http://www.novaobgyn.yourmd.com

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
