If we put a cap on what lawyers and healthcare executives can make, we would see a drop in prices in those areas, too. Same with bakers, tailors and candlestick makers. True, some physicians exploit the system, but they did not create the system. The legislator, whom I am betting is also a lawyer, is sending you off on the wrong trail, kemosabe.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
