Re: Anyone doing saliva hormone levels? Bio-identical hormone treatment? From: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Thu Jul 29 08:17:02 2004
Oh - I do that all the time! I tell them that Strep throat is "natural" - and the rheumatic heart fever that follows - and don't bother with eyeglasses - or cataract surgery - or any medicines for hypertension or cholesterol - jusl let Ol' Ma Nature take her course! I then say to gather the info and make a decision that seems reasonable to her. I figure if someone is 100% anxious about whatever is being recommended or followed - then the high cortisol levels probably counter everything positive that might have been gained. Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
