Chlamydia in pregnancyFrom: Richard Chudacoff, MD (rchudacoff@mylinuxisp.com)Fri Jul 23 09:32:39 2004
15 yo G1 at 28 weeks EGA. Positive Chlamydia at NOB. Treated with Zithromax pills, which she threw up the after 4 hours. Then treated with Zithromax powder, at night. Threw up in the morning. Positive test of cure. Treated with Amoxicillin for 10 days; still positive test of cure. Patient swears that she is not currently sexually active. Mother, who NEVER leaves her side says that since they moved from San Antonio, because her daughter got pregnant there, says she is not sexually active. CANNOT get Mom out of the room to examine the patient, either. Any recommendations for treatment of persistent Chlamydia?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
