Methotrexate No.

Rhogam No. We send them to the blood bank for antibody testing and they get sent to the fast track side of the ER to get injected.

Antibiotics. We keep some Rocephin in the office. Sometimes the detail guys will leave it as samples, and then we only charge an administration fee. In addition to STD rx, we occasionally also use it for cellulitis, for early pyelo, esp. if pt is nauseated but doesn't seem sick enough to go to hospital (usually non-pregnant women), and we have one kid who gets otitis fairly regularly and simply will not take any PO abx. It's great for that. We do get reimbursed most of the time.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
