A young woman (anyone under 40 now qualifies as "young") in front of me at the check-out counter at a local hardware store yesterday was buying 8 American flags. I wondered that she seemed very patriotic or was she having a big 4th of July party? She then told me that someone had taken down, burned and trampled the flag that flew in front of their church. "So, we decided to replace it with 8 more, and if they burn these we'll put up 64 more just to make the point." Happy Independence Day to all Americans here, at sea, and abroad!! Gerald P. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
