There was scar tissue which I removed, and at the same time tried to open the introitus, but no luck. Patient still is complaining of the pain, and when she uses either an over the counter 'numbing' medicine, or Lidocaine jelly, she will rub the area raw. Any suggestions? I was things something like a mediolateral relaxing incision, as her perineal body is about 1 cm in diameter. She has tried dilators. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
