Pregnancy and horsesFrom: Elrod Glen Maj 3 MDG/SGOB (Glen.Elrod@ELMENDORF.af.mil)Fri Jun 25 15:44:45 2004
D. Glen Elrod, Maj, USAF, MC Medical Director Women's Health Clinic Elmendorf AFB, AK 99506 907 580-1305 I had a G1 at 20 wks call from her vacation somewhere in the lower 48 where she had been around a horse farm. Evidently, the vet had been doing something to stimulate ovulation in one of the horses and made it clear to the patient that she could not be even around the horse (not the drugs, the horse) because of a high risk of miscarriage. Can anyone explain what might have been meant by this? I am completely at a loss as to what to tell her. Glen D. Glen Elrod Medical Director Women's Health Clinic Elmendorf AFB, AK 99506

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
