Re: NYTimes Malpractice OpinionFrom: Anna Meenan, MD (annam@uic.edu)Mon Jun 21 11:26:59 2004
Again I ask, if this is all true, then why does the University of Illinois, which is self-insured and non-profit, need to raise our malpractice insurance rates by over 50% this year. Just finished reading John Stossel's "Give Me a Break". The chapter on lawyers is particularly interesting.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
