Re: Double nuchal cord on ultrasoundFrom: Larry Glazerman (l.glazerman@rcn.com)Tue Jun 8 15:42:09 2004
Rick: Interesting recent article by Frank Chervenak in the green journal about this very issue (elective CS). His recommendations from an ethical perspective: 1. Not justified to OFFER elective CS 2. OK to do it at patient request, after appropriate counseling, etc. This is what I have been doing. He makes a very elegant argument from an ethical perspective. In this case, I might consider offering as well, despite these recommendations.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
