Federal Judge Ices Ban on 'Partial-Birth' AbortionFrom: Efrain Ramirez (dean@thehuffpeople.net)Wed Jun 2 17:08:14 2004
.. Federal Judge Ices Ban on 'Partial-Birth' Abortion The Recorder Finding government witnesses lacking in credibility, federal Judge Phyllis Hamilton on Tuesday declared unconstitutional the 2003 Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act, taking the side of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, which had challenged Attorney General John Ashcroft's enforcement of the act. Lawyers in the case say the ruling's exhaustiveness should help shield Hamilton from claims that she is an "activist" judge who based her decision on political beliefs. http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1085626363204

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
