But now the patient doesn't WANT to pay his money. He wants the third party to pay it, to make the choices anyway (which he gripes about if the third party won't let him), and hold the doctor responsible for any maloccurence, whether due to himself, the third party payor, or acts of God.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
