Re: Pediatric caseFrom: Lynn D. Montgomery, M.D. (apgar10@montanadsl.net)Thu May 6 10:46:37 2004
Did you see the cervix? Yes, but barely. Took the longest nasal speculum and not wanting to cause trauma, had a very narrow access. No extraneous Mullerian anomalies with trapped secretions, etc.? Nothing that I could see. That is the reason I did the ultrasound and particularly the transperineal approach And are you sure (olfactory wise) that the d/c is from the vagina? What does it look like? Certainly seems to be coming from the vagina. Several urinalysis' in the past - all negative. The discharge looks yellow, purulent - on the culture swab. Lynn

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
