Boy, tough case. I have no idea of the answer, but I do know that the nurses at my main hospital (small unit)pretty much know that the recently delivered must void or be catheterized by 4 hours--not 6, not 8. They are generally undergoing a diuresis, and there's plenty of urine, FWIW.

I've not been disappointed by being strict about this.
