I know this post is a little late, but I really hope there's not an OB/GYN alive who believes this story. I think it's entirely possible that someone else did the procedure on her and then disappeared to avoid legal consequences. Remember, just because someone said it happened doesn't make it so. I, for one, don't believe it for a second.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
