I still get aggrevated everytime I have to write out "discharge" or "discontinue" because no one is smart enough to know not to discontinue the patient to home or discharge the IV!!! One recent thing - is dietary will no longer accept "Diet As Tolerated". The good surgical nurse is really well set for uncomplicated gyn surgical patients to make the decision at the moment - whether the patient will do best with more clear liquids or can go to something else. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
