Re: Group wants 'alternate courts' for medical malpractice suitsFrom: RModugno@aol.comFri Mar 12 20:42:33 2004
In a message dated 3/12/2004 6:31:49 PM Eastern Standard Time, evsono@pipeline.com writes: There IS precedent for this - Tax Court! Quite right Art! In addition the US Congress has created a number of other "legislative courts" to hear certain categories of cases in a non-jury setting - The Court of Federal Claims - which hears cases under the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. The Customs Courts. The Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. The Court of International Trade. The US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. So a medical malpractice court would not be that unusual - Rots of Ruck! Robert Modugno MD MBA FACOG Marietta, GA http://www.novaobgyn.yourmd.com

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
