I have looked it up there and just did it again.. It is not in Steadman's or even in a Webster's UNABRIDGED. It is commonly incorrectly used in both British and American circles. Tort is a noun. NOT a verb. This was one of Bob Munsick's pet peeves. And it has gotten to where it bothers me a little.

Look it up in a medical dictionary. Has been in standard useage in British circles since I became a medical student, and I must assume, before that. Steve Raymond

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
