This happened to a colleague recently. Decided to do an external cephalic version on a patient with a breech presentation near term. Did it under epidual anesthesia. The version was successful. No fetal distress. Proceeded to induce labor. Head "remained high". I'm not sure of the patient's parity. Did a cesarean for "failure to progress." At section, "a very narrow lower segment was found". Did a classical section. Baby fine. When the uterus was exteriorized, found that it had torted 180degrees - therefore - the classical section was done on the posterior wall of the uterus. Has anyone seen THAT before! The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
