They sure do, and obviously we can't afford it. There was a time when there was actually a premium (absurdly small amount like .25% with max of $1200.00) that was deducted for the pay stubs, and if you did not get a pay stub because you where self employed then you paid on your income tax form. Well the politically easy thing to do was eliminate the premium so that there was no perceived barrier to health care access. Universal Health care everyone wants it and nobody is willing to pay for it.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
