I wouldn't mind getting cord pH's on all deliveries if it would benefit the
patient. Cord pH's along with the thousands of dollars worth of head CTs,
MRI's, etc. in the NICU are done not to help in the care of the baby but for
the defense of the inevitable malpractice suit. What a waste.
