I have done that routinely for many years - actually it is "an accident
waiting to happen" it is very sad that we have to practice medicine this
way - but IMHO - APGAR scores will be "weak" evidence - objective pH or
better yet- complete cord gases will be "standard" someday - I've been
saying for years ...
