There's a procedure called Elevest, by Inlet Medical, which suspends the uterus using round and uterosacral ligaments. I've performed it several times, and it works nicely.

Email me if you'd like more details.

I have a 32 yo G2P2 that had uterine prolapse during her last pregnancy and now has symptomatic prolapse, with associated rectocele and cystocele. She does NOT want a hysterectomy and also doesn't want a pessery. She is not opposed to surgery, just not a hysterectomy. Any suggestions?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
