Re: GEN: It Was Bound To Happen

One of the gripes I have - is they rushed to release (with press conferences no less) the initial negative data. However the final data showed NO statistically significant difference between the treated (Prempro) group and the placebo group for cardiovascular, breas cancer or stroke.

As I understand it - there were suits filed almost immediately once the first press conference was held.

Yet, as I have heard on the news (ok - not great medical media) there is a big clamor among men to get testosterone replacement. I think there is minimal data.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
