Medicaid Reimbursement Survey

I'm putting together a presentation about the costs to the government (Medicaid) of missing prenatal records. Considering that if a patient shows up to L&D with no prenatal care, or care elsewhere and her prenatal records are not available for whatever reason, I assume that many would repeat/order all of the tests in a prenatal panel and maybe even an ultrasound on admission (that's what I did).

I know it varies from state to state, but could listmembers email me privately, or post to the group, what Medicaid pays you or what you know that hospitals receive (rounded, ballpark numbers are good enough) for:

Prenatal panel labs & cultures Ultrasound Global Obstetric Fee for normal OB

If anyone can think of any other costs to the government (or insurers) besides these if the prenatal records are absent in L&D, I'd be interested in your thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
