Re: GYN: Residual uterine tissue after subtotal hysterectomy--long**more infoFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Mon Dec 29 19:43:38 2003
I bet you are right! It hadn't occurred to me that a "local good gyn onc" would do primarily a myomectomy - yet sign it out as a subtotal hysterectomy. However - I think we have all seen the times when the anatomy was so distorted that perhaps we could think we did a supracervical and only did the myomectomy. ... Maybe ... Garry - did you get the op note and path reports? Was there an endometrial cavity in the specimen? Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
