but you aren't teaching residents on a day to day basis. -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Richard Chudacoff, MD Sent: Friday, November 07, 2003 12:06 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: RE: Single Layer vs Double Layer Uterine Closure True, but I'm talking about detection, you are talking about prevention. I DO know what you mean. I did suture in a Pennington, once, and learned my lesson. However, some slightly less than 10,000 c-sections later, not a one. I don't because I have seen too many residents sew them into the incision. Then I start my suture lateral to one angle and finish up lateral to the other. I tie behind each allis. That's standard where I trained. Even gets to the point where if they don't have any Allis clamps, the operator freaks out! LOL Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
