Re: actinomycosis in IUDFrom: Richard Chudacoff, MD (rchudacoff@mylinuxisp.com)Tue Oct 21 08:57:39 2003
Treat with or without the IUD in place? Actually, mute point. I just talked to the patient. The plan will be to remove the IUS, treat for 6 months on PCN. I plan to perform an HSG at the end of the six-month period, just to document the patency of the uterus and tubes. Most of this is CYA.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
