progesterone protection for endometrial implantsFrom: guy venezia (traalblaze@aol.com)Fri Oct 10 18:23:07 2003
Any concern with hormone replacement after TAH-BSO for endometriosis. I have a 41 yo after TAH-BSO for endometriosis. She is having hot flushes and night sweats. I wan to give her low dose ERT for symptoms. Anyone concerned about endometrial implants progressing to cancer? Would anyone add progesterone for protection. I normally use low dose ert only and for short periods of time. (can consider ssri's etc) But, just curious! Asked the local oncologist, and she stated she has not seen endometriod type cancer in the pelvis after tah-bso for endometriosis. Any comments? Guy
