prednisone in pregnancyFrom: guy.venezia@ssfhs.orgFri Sep 26 16:53:11 2003
I have a new Ob pt in her first trimester. She was diagnosed today with pyoderma gangrenosum. She will need high dose prednisone for 2-3 months. (60-80 mg/day) Besides risk for placental insuff and IUGR, does anyone have much experience with prednisone or aware of other risks? Thanks Guy Venezia, M.D.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
