I had an IUD inserted at my 6 week checkup and breastfed past a year. Menses resumed at 8 months, I think. (It WAS 27 years ago!) No problems for me. Of course, that's an N of 1. Barbara Orza, CNM Lawrenceville, GA

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
