Mediolateral episiotomy

Is anyone in the group doing mediolateral episiotomies? I only had one
attending in residency that did them routinely, so I don't have much
experience with them.
Does anyone have any information on complications vs midline? Everything
I've pulled up from medline leads toward them having LESS complications,
but if that were the case, why aren't we all doing them instead of
midline?
